After my initial success of acceptance of 2 collagraph prints about Cwmorthan Quarries I was delighted to be commended for my artwork. Being accepted was exciting and I couldnt wait to get to the private view 2 Saturdays ago.
Once in the very well attended gallery I met people I had initially been on a course in Llandrillo college 8 or so yrs ago, Helen and Sue. Then bumped into others from Glyndwr University who also had work in the exhibition. Ann Lewis the printmaker (who I met from a Helfa Gelf visit over a yr ago) was lovely and gave me much encouragement by her comments about my prints. So much happenned before I knew abiut the commendation and It was a bit off a blur after. What I saw was very eclectic, but due to the crowds I could,nt have a proper look so will have to go back. The snow here is still falling gently but not sticking. I,ll write a proper blog about the exhibition after my revisit soon.xx
